Presenter, writer, actor, director, and comedian Sue Perkins will host the UK Social Mobility Awards (The SOMOs) on Tuesday 6 October.
The SOMOs celebrate organisations and individuals driving meaningful progress in social mobility, recognising those turning ambition into action across the UK.
Sue returns as host after MCing the UK Social Mobility Awards in 2024.
She says: “In this landmark 10th year of The UK Social Mobility Awards, it’s incredibly heartening to see the scale and depth of commitment from organisations determined to open up opportunity.
“I’m delighted to be back hosting The SOMOs in this anniversary year, celebrating not just outstanding work, but the collective momentum building behind a fairer, more inclusive society.”
Winners in each category will pick up their award from Sue, who added: “I encourage organisations who are making it easier for people to get in and succeed to enter. Who knows, you could pick your award up from me – what better reason is there to enter!”
The deadline for entering this year’s UK Social Mobility Awards is 5pm on Friday 26th June. Winners will be announced, by Sue, at the gala event in London.
