The 2026 Business Seminar brings senior leaders, practitioners and changemakers together for a focused morning of insight and connection on Wednesday 22 April, in Central London.
Delivered by The UK Social Mobility Awards in association with National Grid, the seminar explores how organisations can move beyond intent and take meaningful, measurable action to advance social mobility at work.

Each year, representatives of business and organisations come together to discuss social mobility and its positive impact. The last Social Mobility Business Seminar took place on Tuesday 25th March 2025 and inspired individuals and organisations to begin, continue, or take the lead in their social mobility journeys.
We welcomed insightful speakers and panellists who shared ways they are actively advancing social mobility. All our speakers communicated passionately for business leaders to ‘do more’ to widen the gate, and create equitable opportunities for individuals from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds (SEBs).
