What is social mobility?
Social mobility measures the degree to which people’s social status changes between generations. It considers the degree to which life opportunities are equal and whether people from different backgrounds experience the same opportunities.

What are the SOMOs?
The UK Social Mobility Awards are unique. They have been specifically established to encourage initiatives that will promote and increase social mobility within the UK’s companies and institutions.

These awards recognise best practice and innovation, celebrate excellence, and start a new chapter in the elevation of social mobility as a cause equal to the level of other diversity issues.

What do the SOMOs achieve?
